Hallie Coletta is the talent behind Coletta Decorative Painting. She began her career as a children’s book illustrator after attending L’Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, Italy. By 1986, she turned her artistic attention to the world of motion pictures and theatre and was accepted into the prestigious United Scenic Artists Union, Local 829 in New York City, where she continues to work as a scenic artist for motion pictures, Broadway and television.

In 2001, Ms. Coletta’s love of painted ornament steered her to create Coletta Decorative painting, bringing beauty to homes and business in the New York Metropolitan area. Her studio is located at The Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center, a pre-Civil War factory complex and former textile mill, located in the Hudson River Valley, 30 miles north of Manhattan. The studio is open by appointment. Please call or email us.

Are you the author of “The Collected Letters of A to Z?” If so, have you or Irene published any more books?

Hi Myles. Yes, my mother, Irene, and I were the co-others of “From A to Z”. I continued to illustrate children’s books but this was Irene’s sole published work.
